The practice of mindfulness has origins in Hinduism and Buddhism, and has become a widely utilized therapeutic technique for psychologists in treating conditions such as anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, addiction, OCD, and trauma.


While mindfulness meditation is powerful for managing stress and psychological conditions, its purpose in eastern spirituality was quite different. From its early beginnings in the Hindu Vedic traditions of India, the intention of meditation was to gain wisdom and insight, rather than for relaxation or stress relief. 


The concept for Zen Things and its products was created by a therapist from India with a lifelong passion for eastern and western teachings about personal growth, peak experiences, mindfulness, human motivation, and zen philosophy.
